Plot summary

In October 1989, a huge meteor shower destroyed most of the town of Smallville, Kansas. This event brought Jonathan and Martha Kent what they have always wanted, a son they named Clark. In 2001, their son is becoming a man, who has two best friends, Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan, and a crush on the hottest girl in school, Lana Lang, not to mention a budding friendship with future nemesis Lex Luthor. But his parents have been hiding a secret from him: they found him inside a spaceship when the meteor shower came. As he begins to develop his powers and discover more abilities that will soon transform him into Superman, Clark begins to take on his mantle as the Man of Steel...

Yesterday,I saw the DVD of "Gone with the wind" with a good friend of mine.As I was a emotional girl,everytime after seeing the movies,I always can not relieve for a long time.The following some paragraphs I take from the classical books "Gone with the wind".

Since the comback of her ring for weding, Melanie had felt that this man who named Rhett was a gentleman of rare refinement and delicacy and she could not help be shocked at this remark.He was really a cgentleman in this movie.We could see that he was unfailingly courteous to Melanie, but she was a little affaid with him,the mainly resean was that she did not fell nature in the front of any man who she had not known from childhood. Behind his back, she felt very sorry for him.She had a feeling which would have made him laugh had he been on to it. She ensured  that some romantic sorrow had ruined his life and made him difficult and bitter, and she felt that what he needed was the true affection of a perfect woment. In all her sheltered life she had never seen evil and could scarcely credit its existence, and when gossip whispered things about Rhett and the girl in Charleston she was shocked and unbelieving. And, instead of turning her against him, it only made her more timidly gracious toward him because of her indignation at what she fancied was a gross injustice done him.

Scarlett silently agreed with Aunt Pitty. She, too, felt that he had no respect for any woman, unless perhaps for Melanie. She still felt unclothed every time his eyes ran up and down her figure. It was not that he ever said anything. Then she could have scorched him with hot words. It was the bold way his eyes looked out of his swarthy face with a displeasing air of insolence, as if all women were his property to be enjoyed in his own good time. Only with Melanie was this look absent. There was never that cool look of appraisal, never mockery in his eyes, when he looked at Melanie; and there was an especial note in his voice when he spoke to her, courteous, respectful, anxious to be of service.

I don't know,have you even seen the movies.If not,I advice you sit down and enjoy it with your partner..In short,spending so little money to immerse in aclassic dvd is worth doing.

Dennis Hopper suffers Financial crisis

 

The well-known director and actor Dennis Hopperis suffering from the torture of cancer.It is said that his weight is only a little more than 100 pounds (45kg).Even more tragic is that a court document shows that Hopper is currently in a near-bankruptcy.

The documentation provided by the attorney in the divorce case describs Hopper's poor living conditions.One paper from one of his doctors declared: "Mr.Hopper is very difficult to recover active treatment."

Hopper in this legal document says he is willing to pay 5000 U.S. dollars as alimony per month to his divorced wife Victorian, which is the maximum date he is able to afford.Hopper says that his current assets accounting for a total of 300.28 thousand U.S. dollars, in addition to his company's 10.9 thousand U.S. dollars.

The accounting says "in these years,Hopper's imcome is basically from the services provided for the new actor." Because suffering from cancer, he is unable to work. Hopper last year's income was only 57,000 U.S. dollars. This year, his income has not improved.

His ex-wife Victorian said that Hopper was burdened with his collection of art works.Legal documents show that Hopper got totaled 1.895 million U.S. dollars by selling works of art in the past nine years, but minused the total of 1.85 million U.S. dollars of the purchase and storage costs, he obtained a net profit in the past nine years was only 45,000 U.S. dollars.It is reported that Hopper is currently living alone on about 45,000 U.S. dollarss, and in the future, there will be no possibility of borrowing.

Painful Journey

THE TRAIN was very late and the long, deeply blue twilight of June was settling over the countryside when Scarlett alighted in Jonesboro. Yellow gleams of lamplight showed in the stores and houses which remained in the village, but they were few. Here and there were wide gaps between the buildings on the main street where dwellings had been shelled or burned. Ruined houses with shell holes in their roofs and half the walls torn away stared at her, silent and dark. A few saddle horses and mule teams were hitched outside the wooden awning of Bullard's store. The dusty red road was empty and lifeless, and the only sounds in the village were a few whoops and drunken laughs that floated on the still twilight air from a saloon far down the street.

The depot had not been rebuilt since it was burned in the battle and in its place was only a wooden shelter, with no sides to keep out the weather. Scarlett walked under it and sat down on one of the empty kegs that were evidently put there for seats. She peered up and down the street for Will Benteen. Will should have been here to meet her. He should have known she would take the first tram possible after receiving his laconic message that Gerald was dead.

She had come so hurriedly that she had in her small carpetbag only a nightgown and a tooth brush, not even a change of underwear. She was uncomfortable in the tight black dress she had borrowed from Mrs. Meade, for she had had no time to get mourning clothes for herself. She patted her foot impatiently. Will should have met her. Of course, she could go over to Bullard's and inquire after him or ask someone there to drive her over to Tara, should she find he had been unable to come. But she did not want to go to Bullard's.
